PDF to JPG or PNG FAQ

Before you start.

Does this extract the original images inside a PDF?

No. It renders the selected PDF pages as complete page images.

Should I choose JPG or PNG?

JPG is useful when smaller photographic images matter. PNG avoids JPEG compression artifacts and is often useful for text-heavy page screenshots.

Can I export just one page?

Yes. Enter the relevant page number in the page selection.

Does a larger image scale improve the original scan?

It creates a larger rendering but cannot restore detail absent from the source scan.
